Local & State - Sales or Use Tax: - Stone Cottage is domiciled in Portland, Oregon, where there is no local or state sales tax. We have no locations or affiliates outside of Oregon, therefore we're not required to collect sales tax at the time of purchase. We do NOT withhold a local or state tax at the time of purchase, on behalf of you, the buyer. If the state where merchandise is being shipped to, has a local/state, sales/use tax, it is the sole responsibility of the purchaser, to pay any and all local or state use tax, that may be owed. You agree, we are NOT liable to any tax authorities, for any unpaid use tax that you fail to pay. It is also solely the purchasers responsibility to know how the tax laws and regulations work, within the state where merchandise will be shipped to. Since we're domiciled within the state of Oregon, we assume you have a better understanding on how and where sales/use taxes are paid to your local tax authorities.
Shipping & Handling: - Purchases of $49.00 or greater, we offer free shipping and handling, provided the destination is within the lower 48 US Continental States and the District of Columbia. The total of $49, is for merchandise only. It does NOT include sales/use tax, and is after any discounts/coupons are subtracted from to the total. Free shipping is NOT offered to Alaska or Hawaii at this time. Orders with total shipping weighting over 13 ounces, will likely be ship in multiple packages and/or envelops. We do this because it helps to save our customer on shipping cost. Our standard shipping for all orders, is “Traditional Ground Shipping” using a domestic carrier, such as but NOT limited to: UPS or USPS. We can ship using faster service, but additional fees will apply. Except for holidays and other times carriers are busy, you should expect your order to arrive within 2-5 business days, depending on destination. For orders under $49, the shipping and handling rate you will be charged, is the same rate the carriers charge us. We have no control over setting the shipping rate, therefore any issue in regards to the cost of shipping, should be directed to the carrier. We currently do NOT ship internationally, but please check back soon, because at some point we intend to.
Return & Exchange Policy: - It is our goal to provide 100% satisfactions. In the event and item is damaged during shipping, please notify us immediately. Non-Food items that are purchased from Stone Cottage LLC, and are still in their original unopened new condition, can be returned. The shipping costs associated with returning an item, is solely the responsibility of the buyer. We do not accept returns on food items, or items that cannot be restocked back onto the shelf. We will however replace an item it due to poor quality issue, such as arriving spoiled, provided that is the opinion of others who have tried the same product as well. Responsibility to who pays shipping cost is at our decision to make.
Minimum Order - Stone Cottage requires a minimum order of greater than $10.00 for retail purchases. A $3.00 service fee will automatically be added, at the time of purchase, to all orders totaling less than our minimum. The minimum order is determined by the total of the merchandise, and does NOT include sales tax, use tax, nor shipping.
